Day 1: Arrival
Flight to Antalya. You will be met at the airport by an English-speaking travel guide. Afterwards we drive by bus along the Taurus Mountains to Fethiye. At the port, we go aboard MS Grand Admiral (or ship Admiral). We are being welcomed and have dinner aboard ship. Overnight at the harbor (in case of arrival after 10:00 PM a cold snack is served).
Day 2: Tersane Bay - Batik Hamam Bay
After breakfast, we sail out to the Tersane Bay, where we cast anchor to eat lunch and swim in the clear water. Tersane means “shipyard” and alludes to the island’s earlier Greek inhabitants, who were ship builders. The ship building tradition on Tersane hales all the way back to the Byzantine period. Afterwards we go on towards the Batik Hamam Bay, where we can see the ruins of a half-sunk Roman bath. It is said that it was Cleopatra who had built it. The water here is incredibly clear, so naturally we take a swim-- or go snorkeling. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3: Batik Hamam Bay - Manastir Bay - Bedri Rahmi Bay
After breakfast, we sail to Manastir Bay, where we drop anchor to eat lunch. In the afternoon we sail further to Bedri Rahmi Bay. The bay is named after the famous Turkish painter and writer, Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu. He and his friends were the first ones, on their sailing trips, to explore Turkey’s wonderful coast line. On one of these trips in l973, he painted a fish on a cliff behind a well and since then the bay has been named after him. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Bedri Rahmi Bay - Gocek
We sail to Gocek, where we cast anchor in a bay close to the harbor to have breakfast. Afterwards you have the chance to visit the charming fishing village Dalyan in the middle of a reedy turtle beach, where the Caretta sea turtles lay their eggs, and also the ancient city of Kaunos, as well as taking mud bath in one of the hot pools in the area (optional). Dinner and overnight in a bay on board.
Day 5: Gocek - Yassica Islands - Fethiye
After breakfast we set our course for the Yassica Islands,
where we can relax on the ship in the lovely surroundings or take a swim in the sea. After breakfast we are ready for the final stage, and in the afternoon we went our way back to our starting point, the harbor in Fethiye. Here you have an opportunity to visit Fethiye’s old city and go for a walk along the beach. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6: Back to Antalya
We leave the ship after breakfast and drive from Fethiye back to Antalya over a beautiful mountainous region. Today we go first toward Tavas, where we visit a typical carpet village at around 1200 m. You walk around and see different looms and dye containers, where the traditional Turkish carpet craftsmen are at work. You get a chance to see how wool and silk are spun, dyed, and knotted and how the world famous Turkish carpets are made. You will be fascinated by the finished carpets’ incredible design and color combinations while at the same time getting a glimpse of typical country village living. Afterwards we go further to the Turkish Riviera. Overnight, including breakfast in Antalya vicinity (2 nights).
Day 7: Antalya
After breakfast we go to the Antalya Archeological Museum in Konyaalti (Antalya), this is one of the biggest and most important museums in Turkey. With its 13 display halls and an open air gallery, it covers an area of 7,000 sq. m. In all, there are around 5,000 works of art displayed.
